Art direction and graphic design for a series of calendars commemorating the 200th anniversary of Jenny Lind, affectionately known as the "Swedish Nightingale" and celebrated as Sweden’s first global celebrity.
This project aimed to honor her extraordinary legacy and cultural impact, highlighting her contributions to music and the arts. The calendars were part of a broader celebration, which included a jubilee concert and an exclusive exhibition at the Royal Swedish Opera in October 2020. The exhibition featured a rich collection of photos, drawings, texts, and dresses, offering a glimpse into Jenny Lind’s life and career, and bringing her remarkable story to life for new audiences.
This project was developed during my studies in graphic design and typography at Linnaeus University, Sweden.
Jenny Lind was born in Stockholm in 1820. She started her career at the Dramaten's student school and broke through internationally at a time when the focus increasingly revolved around the individual, which meant that her star status grew to enormous proportions.
