Art direction, concept, and editorial design for Kunstkammer, a new annual magazine for curious minds.

As the name suggests, Kunstkammer draws inspiration from the historical concept of the cabinet of curiosities, collections that sought to capture and categorize the marvels of the known world. This publication embraces that spirit, celebrating the rare, the unusual, and the unique. It seeks not only to showcase extraordinary discoveries but also to reflect on the human desire to understand, collect, and define the world through wonder.

This project was developed during my postgraduate studies in photography and editorial design at EINA School of Design and Art of Barcelona.

Who is the Kunstkammer reader?

The Kunstkammer reader is innately curious, driven by a desire to explore new ideas and better understand the world around them. This curiosity takes many forms: asking questions, seeking new experiences, and pursuing unexpected sources of knowledge. Above all, they are open-minded, inquisitive, and intellectually engaged. Guided by a sense of wonder, they are constantly expanding their perspective, never settling for the familiar, always drawn to the rare, the surprising, and the extraordinary.

Special thanks to Edith Stone for the creative mentorship during the whole design process of this publication and to Dolors Soriano for providing me guide and invaluable insights for the editorial production.
