Forest bathing, 森林 浴, shinrin-yoku in Japanese, is an exercise that consists of walking among the trees, concentrating the attention on the senses, perceiving the scent of flowers and moist soil, feeling the heat of the sun and its shades in the shadows.

Skogsbad (2021) is a work of documentary character in a unique visual style, in which I research the relationship between human emotions and nature throughout the experience and exploration of the Japanese art of forest bathing in Sweden. Exhibited as a visual essay, this work was part of the final project during my studies in photography at the Academy of Art and Design at University of Gothenburg.

This photo series was produced in the Igelbäckens nature reserve in Kymlinge, in the municipality of Sundbyberg, Sweden.
